The Meaning of Citizenship

September 19, 2018
Constitution Day or Citizenship Day is an American federal observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution and those who become U.S. citizens. It is normally observed on September 17, the day in 1787 that delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the document in Philadelphia. This week, I will be sharing my personal story about my journey to becoming a U.S. citizen.

Volunteer Highlight: Abby and Susan

August 23, 2018
Every year kids from all over the world celebrate their birthday. Family Village Issaquah (FVI) works to make birthdays special with the birthday bags program. This program is special to FVI because of the dedication of two volunteers. We would like to highlight these volunteers, Abby and Susan, for their amazing work with YWCA.

We share the stories of our program participants, programs, and staff, as well as news about the agency and what’s happening in our King and Snohomish community.
