Last Wednesday we gathered to celebrate the BABES Network-YWCA sisterhood at Stella Steps Out. The night was filled with inspiration, laughter, tears, and empowerment.

This year's Stella Steps Out was a hit! With a new venue, great sponsors, 160 guests and alongside Sister Euro N'Wei and the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, we raised over $63,000!

Stella Steps Out is unlike any of our fundraisers. BABES Network provides peer support for women living with HIV.  Because of BABES Network, women have a safe place through the "sisterhood of support." Led by HIV-positive peer advocates, BABES is the only program of its kind in the region and serves hundreds of HIV-positive women and their families each year.

BABES Poem

Thank you to Dr. Shireesha Dhanireddy, our 2018 Stella Steps Out honoree and the Director of the Madison Clinic, and to Teresia Otieno for sharing her story as a BABE.

Nicole & Pat

Thank you to all who helped make Stella Steps Out the success it was. You can still make a donation to ensure BABES members and their families are connected to strong, dependable support networks

Did you know the BABES meeting space is undergoing a makeover? You too could be part of the makeover by donating office furniture. Please contact  Nicole Price for more information.
