Mariam Ahmed
Mariam Ahmed is the Public Policy and Advocacy Coordinator at YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish. She leads the organization's local, state policy and advocacy work alongside her team. Mariam is a steadfast advocate with a passion for utilizing public policy as a catalyst for necessary change.
A dedicated community builder, Mariam brings experiences in community organizing, government relations, and advocacy. Specializing in housing, basic needs, and economic advancement, Mariam believes in centering the lived experience of those closest to social issues in political processes.
Originally from the Bay Area in California, Mariam earned her B.A. in Public Policy from the University of California, Riverside. She understands that behind every policy issue, there are real people with stories waiting to be shared.
