Coffee and Conversations with our Gender-Based Violence Program Director

Phillis Wheatley Branch

Summary
Join us on October 23 for Coffee and Conversations with YWCA's Chief Program Officer, Jeanice Hardy, and Director of Gender Based Violence Specialized Services (GBVSS), Doris O'Neal, to discuss our innovative programs and how we support victims and survivors of gender-based violence.

On Wednesday, October 23, from 10:00 – 11:00 am at our Phillis Wheatley location, during October's Week Without Violence, we'll be sitting down for Coffee and Conversation with YWCA's Chief Program Officer, Jeanice Hardy, and Director of Gender Based Violence Specialized Services (GBVSS), Doris O'Neal, to discuss our innovative programs.

The first in a three-part series discussing GBVSS, we will focus on discussing the wide range of Gender Based Violence (stalking vs. sexual violence vs. trafficking, etc. ) as well as how our unique, client-centered programs work to support women and families experiencing it. We'll dive into our survivor-centered model, how our services utilize a culturally relevant and trauma-informed approach, and how we thread Race and Social Justice through every element of our programming.

Future sessions in 2025 will focus on our gender-based violence advocacy and specific programming, and those dates will be shared later.
