YWCA WorkFirst Legal Navigation Program provides TANF parents with one-on-one legal systems navigation and offers Legal Navigation Workshops to the public.
WorkFirst Legal Navigation program participants will be provided with knowledge, tools, and resources to navigate the judicial and public benefits systems to remove legal barriers to employment and improve the overall well-being of parents and families.
Program services include general legal information (not legal advice) and peripheral support services such as court wardrobe, court accompaniment, and safety planning. All services are offered with a holistic, trauma-informed, and advocacy-based framework.
