Economic Security for All (EcSA) is a workforce development program that supports job seekers in higher-poverty zip codes in South King County who are experiencing barriers to employment and economic stability.
This program is designed to serve individuals who are furthest from opportunity—particularly BIPOC communities—by providing comprehensive career navigation, skills training, and wraparound supports that help participants prepare for and succeed in today’s job market. Each participant is paired with a dedicated Career Navigator who works one-on-one to create a personalized career and education plan.
Participants have access to job readiness training through YWCA’s ReadyWork$ course and vocational training through certification programs in high-demand industries such as healthcare, banking, and more. Additional services include:
- Resume and interview advice and preparation
- Job search support
- Referrals to vocational training or college programs
- Assistance accessing transportation, technology, and work clothing resources.
Economic Security for All is an equal opportunity program. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities. The Federal Economic Security for All program receives support and funding from a US Department of Labor grant. Read more about this USDOL grant funding on their Funding & Investment Details page.
To enroll in YWCA's Economic Security for All program, participants need to meet the following criteria:
- At least 18 years old
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Low income (at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level)
- Currently unemployed or underemployed (working part-time, working as a dislocated worker in a low-wage / low-skill job, or earning wages that are insufficient to meet basic living needs).
